Licking the Beaters

Evelyn has picked up on one of my favorite past times (who am I kidding, I still love it) and seems to enjoy it just as much as I did/do!

5 Weeks Old

Annabelle is 5 weeks old this week and growing like crazy. She is starting to fall into a more predictable pattern throughout the day which is nice. She goes to bed between 8-9 and gets up around 7. I think I preferred when she slept in later! She naps about 3-4 times a day and eats....a lot. :) Here's some recent pictures of my little beauty.

3 Weeks

Here's my attempt at getting some good photos of Annabelle. She was not the most cooperative subject. I don't understand how professional photographers are able to get good pictures of babies!

On My Own

I am on day 3 of being on my own with the girls during the day. It has been quite a transition!

The first day I called Scott at 5 and told him it was time to come home.

Evelyn declared that I was "all done" with Annabelle only once (verbally at least).

Evelyn has started having potty accidents when I am taking care of Annabelle, particularly in the morning.

Evelyn has also informed us that her molars are starting to come in and that they are "owie". Oh goody.

Annabelle is sleeping nice stretches at night. She only usually wakes me up twice in the night to eat!

Annabelle does not like the evening very well. She has trouble sleeping and prefers to just be awake and cranky. This usually starts up a little bit before Scott gets home from work, so I am doubly happy to see him walk through the door!

Evelyn has started playing baby Evelyn and wants to lay on Annabelle's play gym and will fake cry to be picked up. She will also play this with her own babies and have them mimic anything that I do with Annabelle. She will have them cry, then pick them up and pat their back and shush them!



I have done three outings with both girls. We've gone to the park, story time at the library, and Wonderscope. All of them went really well, and Evelyn seemed to be much happier to be out and about again.

Evelyn finally has enough hair to wear pigtails! She was really excited to have her hair pulled up like mommy's...although I generally try to have mine not stand up quite so much.


Sorry the photo is of the back of her head. I tried to get one of her front, but she was completely non-compliant with picture taking that day!

Daddy/Daughter Weekend

Scott and Evelyn went to Omaha this weekend to visit Scott's best friend, Chris. Evelyn was so excited to go because Chris has "neigh-neighs". As you can see, she had a blast!
