This was the year of Abe being a full on toddler. All the time.
Every minute of every day toddler crazy.
So naturally, my parents got him a drum set. Because he wasn't loud enough.
At least he's entertained.
This sums up our summer well. Lots of time outside with the neighbors and Evelyn getting into things. I'm shocked she's not covered in mud in this one.
Abe turned 2.
And we took our first family vacation.
This happened.
We celebrated Passover with friends.
Our neighbors got chickens and all the kids rejoiced.
Evelyn went with Scott to the daddy/daughter dance.
I did my first race, 4 miles!
Evelyn turned 6.
Our pipes froze during the polar vortex and Scott got to unthaw them with a blow dryer.
More Abe being Abe.
We spent a lot of time at the zoo.
Evelyn made her first ER visit when she split her nose open.
Easter! This is before the 80 people showed up to celebrate with us.
Troostfest
Abe learned to scale the counters.
Annie embraced her inner drama queen on a near daily basis.
His little crossed feet.
We celebrated 8 years of marriage.
We also spent a lot of time at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art.
The girls took their first swimming lessons.
We helped throw a big party with the neighbors for the 4th of July.
Annie turned 4.
Abe was a ring bearer.
Evelyn started Kindergarten and Annie started Pre-K.
We spent the day at Adventureland for Labor Day.
Pumpkin patch time!
School's Fall Fest
We were matched with an expectant mom and traveled to Wichita to meet her.
Halloween
Scott took several business trips and the 4 of us held down the fort at home.
We joined in the protests to proclaim that Black lives matter.
Abe made friends with a leader of the protests who was around for the protests of the 60's too. He was hopeful he wouldn't still have to be at it, but instead is training up another generation of young people to continue the fight for justice.
Thanksgiving with friends.
Our first glimpses of our new little man.
Christmas!
And with that we end 2014. We are looking forward to 2015 with much anticipation!
